Mama Anna and Baby Jack

Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks. Anna continues to be so nurturing to her baby brother and has taken to tending to her baby doll in the same ways I tend to Jack. She feeds and burps Baby Doll and holds her when she is sad and crying. This has led Anna to notice other babies around us and want to interact with them, too, like Benjamin in our community group.

A blurry yet enjoyable picture of Anna jumping off the front step while we hung outside with our community group. (For those unfamiliar our community group is a group of people from our church who get together weekly to go through life together with purpose: praying for and serving one another, discussing sermons and God, sharing in joys and sorrows and serving our local neighborhoods. We love them.)

Anna laughing and running.

Mama Anna holding baby Benjamin, with his mother Beth's help.

Anna chowing on a banana, sitting with Jack.

"I want to hold Baby please. He can sit on my lap."

Smooches.

Jack's nicknames (so far) are Jack Jack, Little Buddy, Mr. Man, and Bundle.

Jack on his play mat at 7 weeks. He likes to look at Monkey and has started reaching for him and sometimes will swat at him in a baby's uncoordinated way. He always looks surprised when Monkey moves after he's hit him. This keeps Jack's interest piqued.

And, of course, our noble beast, Daisy. She has done a great job adapting to Jack's arrival and now that the weather is so nice she is content and happy just hanging outside most of the day. Good ol' girl.
